In vivo amyloid staining

Amytracker™ in vivo Mulitphoton Microscopy

Intravital imaging is allowing researchers to capture images of biological processes in live animals. It has become an advanced tool to study the progression of Alzheimer's disease in transgenic mice. In vivo imaging using two-photon microscopy is an advantageous technique for observing the animal tissues and organs at high resolution. Amytracker™ are suitable for in vivo studies since our probes are non-toxic, cross the blood-brain barrier and stain fibrous deposits in animal models of amyloidogenic diseases. In addition, Amytracker™ are rapid acting. Already after 10 minutes from the intravenous injection, fluorescent Amytracker™ staining of amyloids can be detected. The staining remains viable and well detectable for at least 7 days after injection. Please contact us if you are interested in in vivo imaging of amyloids using Amytracker™.
