How can Amytracker distinguish different forms of Amyloids?

Amytracker™ Analytical Imaging Spectral Imaging

Amytracker™ are a fluorescent tracer molecules. A flexible backbone structure allows Amytracker™ to align with its target. Small changes in target structure lead to small changes in Amytracker™ backbone conformation and thus to a slight shift in emission which might be picked up choosing bandpass filters or spectral imaging. Amytracker™ has been used to differentiate between β-amyloid and tau aggregates in AD tissue sections or different strains of prion protein.
